Blog review The Fishtail braid "The Freckled Fox."

I read her blog  'The Basics' Hair Week Tutorial #3: The Fishtail Braid
This blog was honestly so helpful and great! Not only that but I felt I  could hear how she would speak she had so much enthusiasm and personality through her typing made it such a joy to read compared to a plan boring step by step. She also gave great photos step by step perfectly starting with how to grip the hair, to folding it over making sure it was the perfect amount to be visible from where I sat. All of the blogs I saw they were just profession not only from her designs which were all very neat and clean had a lot of pictures instead of just writing over writing she did a great way of catching my eye into her blogs due to her pictures made it fun to pick one and  Just made the whole blog look
more put together and professional. It was just original. It was fun and gives you an open mind
for knew ideas to try on your hair. I looked through at least eight other cites that I just felt were bland
to much writing and no valid information just a few photos and I didn't learn much or anything at all it bored me and made me think about my own more wondering if I could make mine better I feel If your doing hair pictures and videos will get a lot more attention then then if I just write endlessly and bore people. To conclude what I am trying to get at well I actually have two. First off I feel The Freckled Fox is an amazing blog and people should check it out and even take pointers from it and just have fun with it. Even try out a few of her interesting hair dos yourself. My second is I hope I learn from the blog to improve mine for more originality and just ideas to draw more attention.

Part three Bloggers choice #2

I Walked away from Niall and back to the hotel room as I walked in I felt the cold air hit my warm skin from the fan. I took a breath and sat down on the edge of the bed giving my brain a moment to try to absorb ever thing he said... Niall was a gambler..Niall stole a car, and killed someone...And now I'm apart of this I thought while holding my head in my hands and taking big breaths feeling useless I can't do anything to help or to get out of this I just have to go with this....

I decided then sat looking through the window to see Niall walking back to the room
I just sighed and tried to bring a decent smile to my face as he walked through the doors..
I failed.

"You doing okay? I understand if you don't trust me or dislike or hate..you don't have to fake your emotion with a sad smile." He spoke softly as he stood in front of me and gave a sigh.

I sat there silent for a few minutes looking at him trying to tell if he meant it or not.

"I don't dislike or hate you I still see you as a friend I just can't look at you the same your different
then the Niall I know...but it's okay." I spoke strongly and truthful then stood up facing a little lower then his face. due to the height distance then looked up at him.

"And now it's time to stop moaning and get to work. From here on I'll help you in any way i may, I don't seem to have anything better to do." I said with a little bit of a pitiful laugh then started gathering my things I knew we we're about to leave and didn't want to waste anytime. I know it's not fair that I don't get a choice..But this is still my life and I will live the most of it while I still can

I only pray one day this will all be a memory and I'll be home and things will be normal....

Part Two Bloggers Choice #1

It had been a month since my new knowledge of Niall had started we had been moving every other day going from hotel to hotel by now we had made it from norther California too Kansas the dead waste land just added to my depression. Feeling sick for the first week worried about my family praying these horrible people wouldn't lay a finger on their innocent selves... Then I started to worry about how scared they are. That my mother and Father are at home, When my roommate calls and curiously asks if they had seen me. I can imagine them share a worried look with each other then answer no. They call the Salon asking what happened. Peggy the desk girl saying no and probably telling them about the salon and the condition they found it in.. I imagine from there panic..tears my mother calling my brother Edward in desperation, hoping he'd know..even though me and my brother don't exactly speak anymore..but that's irrelevant for this time. I imagine him in shock I was never a girl for danger, I was quiet, minded my own business. Very safe and always thought to much before acting. From there I expect they called the cops from there and a missing poster is on every other building in town by the second week... I spent my whole first week of this run, repeating and repeating it in my head.. The second I spoke too Niall I quietly walked out too him as he sat towards the swimming pool in the middle of this cheap hotel the weather at least eighty five if not higher in the spring of Arizona. The sun slowly hitting the surface to set, I set beside him on a plastic chair and sat there silent for a moment he lifted his head waiting for me too speak.

I took a breath then...

"Hi." It was the first thing i had said too him in a week he gave me a small smile and sat up waiting for me to speak again.

"How are you feeling about this?" i asked him then took a breath

"Horrible about dragging you down with me i never meant too do this too you i hope you know that, but I enjoy your company if that means anything too you." he spoke with a quiet ton at the beginning
and ended with some cheer slipping out of his lips. I gave him a smile and rested my head against my hand.

"Yeah but I've decided we can't exactly just fix it...and me shutting you out wont make it better,
so. But before we start whatever goes on from here..Tell me..everything." I spoke stern and strong sitting up as i spoke.

he sighed. he knew this would come he breathed softly as he ran his finger through his hair then pressed it too the back of his neck gripping it tightly then releasing and looked up to me his Bright hazel green eyes looked dim as they stared at me, Then he spoke.

"Alright I'll start from the start, a year ago I started gambling in underground casinos and I was actually pretty great at it. Going from table to table bringing in the cash, but after a while my luck faded, so I decided I needed some "Help" I would bribe people I barely knew to look at other peoples cards or distract while I could switch cards or while after a while I wasn't bringing in the money and there were people I didn't exactly pay so I went to "Him" I can't speak his name..He's the guy you go to when you need a loan and you have no other choice.

"While he gave me the money and I payed back the people, but I didn't get this for free...All I can say is I was stupid he wanted me to sneak into the Casino owners house and steal his prized possession. His 1970's Mustang  it was black with grey leather seats he kept it in the best condition... so I did it. The same night after I payed the people back I went to his house and stole it..But I got caught and he came at me with a gun so I hit him..and drove off when I delivered the car the man shook my hand and told me this was all over and to enjoy my life...And  I did for about a week til that Monday the morning was silent and I remember that morning it was freezing and quiet I slowly walked to the kitchen where I found a note stabbed in the table (You think you can kill are guy...Think again.) then a bullet shredded through the window missing me by inches before I could think I ran outside getting in my car and taking off I drove. I drove till I hit the border line of California and stayed at a cheap hotel I've been living like this for almost a year and a half."the spoke with regret in every word as he looked at the ground after speaking held his head in his hands.

"Oh." i answered quietly then quietly left.

How to curl with and without a curling iron

My how to is how do you curl hair without heat or a curling irons. I was browsing YouTube when I stumbled upon the video. Before you attempt to start curl you're hair you will need, Hairspray, and Hair clips. That simple, from there take your middle and ring finger and hold them together making sure the other fingers are out of the way. Then take your hair split down a fair portion that you know will fit over your fingers, then wrap it tightly around your fingers after your sure its tight take the hairspray, and generously spray around the curl, then put the hair clip through the hole as you part it out of your fingers and clip it to your head. Repeat this as you go around the head after you are done leave to sit for at least a good hour or longer if you feel needed.

My second how to do will be one of the newest curling irons there are. The Conair Curl Secret. I happened too get one of these recently and have learned the dos and don'ts, first off don't attempt to use unless your hair has just been dried and strait. I know this because i attempted it i found the curls didn't come out right and they spit out more curls. If you don't own one me saying spit out might sound silly but because this device sucks in your hair. If it happens to become knotted or you put too much hair in it, it simple release the hair it had wrapped up before it could be tangled or stuck. Pretty cool if you ask me :) but too move on to actually use it, there is a curve in the gap where you can lay a normal amount of hair after laying it all the way across just close it then it sucks up the hair placing it in the rounded hole and release when complete and from there just repeat. I found this to be the funniest and easiest way to curl hair as long as your hair is smooth and strait enough to work.

My Book Review of "Standards Text Book For Professional Estheticians."

My book is called Standards Textbook for Professional Estheticians, and  was written by Joel Gerson. Since the whole book isn't about hair, I found a few pages in Chapter Two "The History of grooming and cosmetology." I'll start this with the Egyptians.  They are the first people we know that started cosmetology and their face, nails, and hair were seen as a fine art, The most popular hairstyles you would find from them would of been there elaborate wigs and head dresses. I wish there was more information on them, like why they felt so strongly about their beauty status with there hair. Then we'd move on to Hebrews. Hebrews were also known for their cleanliness and loved  fragrances.the Hebrews were  known for their beautiful skin and hair.

The Romans stole most of their beauty tricks from the Greeks, like their oils. Men started the trend of shaving and it quickly became popular. They also discovered products that made bleach and dyes for what we'd use today on our hair, As this book goes on I found a lot of information I had already blogged about with Africans and Japanese. I noticed there was a lot of information I had already learned in this book.

But then, it moved to the Middle Ages the time of royalty and knights, castles of wealth, and the poor peasants. During the time where the poor couldn’t afford any fashion,Though for the wealthier class Head dresses were all the rage! Their intricate hairstyles, are just very fancy braids would be the best way to explain it. I felt they needed a lot more information on this topic and plan to look into it.

I also read about The Age of Extravagance from 1755-1793 the time era was called this because of the extreme use of high end beauty products from the wealthy, and woman bathing in baths of straw berries and milk. Didn't exactly say what it did for them...but seems interesting. You would probably best remember the time with powdered wigs the woman and gentle men would wear. These hairstyles were outrageously unneeded and very silly.

Through the Victorian Age most women held their hair up with dressed hats, then the 20's hit the era showed more short bob haircuts through the time. While the 30's went for the platinum blonde sleek look through here and the 40's a lot of the styles were just copying whatever was on the movie screen or magazines.
.
The 50's and 60's could be remembered by their huge hair to the strait, sleek hippie styles.

This book was made back in the 1900's so it stops in the 70's and 80's then gives a peek to what they imagined our generation would dress like apparently we're a little behind from there expectations I feel their thoughts on our fashion now a days was very off though.

"Crazy Morning." (A work of fiction)

I had woken up early this morning for some reason feeling awake and ready for today with the light morning sun shining through the curtains. I then pulled myself out of the warm nest of blankets and continued down stairs to find Scarlet, my roommate, sitting at the kitchen counter stuffing a powdered doughnut into her mouth. She then looked up to see me. She pointed at me begging me to come to her through her hand motions.  I gave a small laugh then made my way over.

"Good morning, Chloe." She spoke roughly as she swallowed the remainder of the doughnut. I smiled her way and sat beside her.  We both sat there quietly until she handed me a piece of paper and got up. The note said:  "Chloe, come meet me outside Fresh Beaut's this morning around ten, you're needed. -Niall"

I checked my clock to see it was 9:30 I mumbled a curse then bolted up stairs throwing on the nearest jacket brown leather over my tank top and some decent dark blue jeans after stumbling down stairs one shoe on and working on the other. It helped that it was only a few minutes away from the neighborhood I lived in. When I pulled up I noticed Niall standing in front of the door seeming on edge I walked up to him slowly just taking a minute as I made my way observing him his dark tan skin covered by a ragged old hoodie and his regular jeans were covered in holes, and what seemed to be mud crusted on the rest his hair shaggy and the darkest brown you could imagine.

"Any reason you needed me here this early?" I asked him as i opened the door and walked in. He followed and gave me a small smile.

"Just a busy schedule today, I guess." he said with a small chuckle then sat down in the chair and turned to me.

"Alright girly listen to me very carefully, I need you to do this perfect and I trust you will.. I have this picture for you to go off of." he spoke very serious and stern as he looked at me his dark eyes locked with mine as each word flew from his lips to my ears.

I gave a small unsure smile and looked down at the picture It was a bleach blonde gentle man cut I liked It a lot.

"Alright let’s do this!" I said excitedly then got to work pulling out my little counter on wheels digging through the side cubbies and mixing my dye,

"What made you want to go with such a change?" I asked him as I  paint brushed the dye in his hair then tin foiled it.

"Just getting ready for summer, bored of the hair I guess." he spoke sounding careless and was more interested in watching me do his hair then talk so I kept quiet and got to work after an hour  in a half It was done. He gave me a big smile and a hug.

"I knew I could trust you." he said with a chuckle, he seemed very happy until I felt a jerk and before I could blink I had been thrown to the wall and the mirror I had just been using for Niall shattered, then I heard the bullet again my ears ringing and  shock going in I went to get up and run but Niall held me down slowly pulling me along the floor as he moved himself closer to the back door I tried moving with him but I felt myself smack down to the cold floor every time I tried then another bullet flew through the salon almost a ear away from my head I jerked away trying to get up and away from it all but Niall pulled me down again then he cracked the door and dragged both of us out, pulling me up as he bolted I barely got to my feet as I sprinted  behind him

"What’s going on?' I tried to say through my breathing he didn't answer just glanced at me and kept at it he suddenly stopped I looked to see we we're behind his car when he opened it slowly then  pushed me in crawling over me in the back making it to the front. Then I heard the car start and in almost that second I felt myself fly backwards hitting the ceiling of the car and landing back down to the seat. Feeling my scull throb and heart race, I stayed down until I felt the car stop I looked around (where we're we?) I thought biting my lip and staring out the window to nothing buildings old buildings amazed that they could even stand the bricks looked like dried clay crumbling with every moment and any sign of paint or wallpaper peeled have way down the wall it laid Then as my eyes adjusted I saw Niall In front of the smallest building around he was bashing in a a old tin trash can and screaming   curses I got out and walked to him wanting to know what I got myself into this morning.

"What was that?" I spoke my voice a little shaky as I spoke He turned to me tear stains on his cheeks and a frown hung from his lips he came closer to me taking a breath.

"Chloe I'm so sorry I never meant to get such a close friend involved in my life problems, I would do anything to take this day back, please just listen... These people there part of a special services I can’t get to much in at this time you'll learn the longer you're here. And they not only want me but anyone who knows anything about me dead. That's why I was asking you for the new look. They had figured what I looked like and I needed to be unseen, I can see that didn't work." he took a breath as another tear flowed down his cheek.

"Niall what exactly do you do for them to want you, and when can I go home?" I asked my voice cracking I ran my fingers through my hair trying to relax feeling terrified and wanting to help my friend

"Chloe.... you can't go home it's not safe and I would never risk it they know you and they won’t think twice to come "visit" you  to try to get some information it doesn't matter if you don't know anything... Just let this cool down, and you'll learn what I do soon enough." he sighed then put his hand out to lead me to my next surprise. I didn't answer because I didn't see the point he was right I saw enough actions to know what happens when you go home, I plan on living no matter what it takes.
get away car

Irritating hairstyles

To start my blog off I love how some people will go so far to express their selves through their hairstyles, some of these crazy beautiful ideas will take your breath away and only wish you could pull these hairstyles off. Like the colors people will dye their hair now a days from the darkest blue, to Arial red and some people make it look so beautiful, weather people do it to express themselves or just wanted to try something new the crazy ideas can be beautiful and fun.

But I can not stand it when I see some of these crazy hairstyles gone  wrong! You know what I’m talking about from the neon colors, to the crazy shapes people will cut their hair. I remember on my last visit to the beauty school I was waiting to get in for my apointment  and looked up too see a young lady in her early twenty's if not younger and had this dark-ish light lime color with her sides shaved, and the middle was crazy long a very brave hairstyles and I hope she enjoys it… But I have to say it wasn't exactly my favorite hairstyle of the day and I'm not try to trash on these people but honestly It does bug me when I see these eye sours. For example when I see bright neon shaved in to checker squares in the sides someones head like the picture under us, It’s not the cutest hairstyle. Then when I see girls with these awful dirty dread locks, just the fact that they look like a bird nest but twice as noted or if they died their dreads a crazy color I just can not. Or when girls, Finally I just cant believe what people will do like these scene girls who have huge hair and strange colors. just crazy what people will do.

African Hairstyles And Cultures

I want to talk about the culture of African culture, and I found some very interesting things I'd like to share. These African villages found unkempt hair was unattractive to not just the opposite sex, but a sign of filth, had bad morals, and even that you we're insane. Of course woman chose their hair styles for their beauty; an African American woman with long thick hair was seen as “the life force.” They have the ability to have many children, prosperity, farming skills.  In a Yoruba village in West Africa, the people would braid their hair for a message to their gods, and they thought that because the head was the most elevated part of the body, it was a portal for spirits to pass through. Hair is seen for spiritual importance, and that’s why when they got their heads shaved while being taken as sex slaves, it was a sign of dehumanizing them.  When the whites came to Africa, they told them to straighten their hair and that it would make them socially acceptable to the dominate culture.

At the time 1920s, the wig manufactures were the only one that would advertise an African Americans standard of beauty, as the culture continued and they moved to different states, their styles did as well. But they still showed their culture and original taste. One example would be the Afro that hit during the civil war which they used to define their selves.  The Afro started in New York by Angela Davis, a Black Panther Party Member. She made it a political statement and become popular as they saw it on her wanted, ad. Then in the 1980s had  gave tons of new hair styles, one being the "Fade" the fade was a hairstyle worn predominantly by black man in which the hair starts off short at the bottom and lengthens as it reaches the top. It was seen for its individuality. One big thing I've noticed with this blog is that it goes from hairstyles for their culture and religion for them showing the world showing and expressing themselves as individuals.

My Beginning to Blogging

Hi, to start this off I’m Bailey, and this is my blog about "Hairstyles Around the World." I've always been interested in hair styles. A big reason might be because my mom worked at a salon, even though she didn't do hair specifically. A lot of times when I was younger, I'd sit out in the waiting room while my mom cleaned up. But after a while, I explored and walked around the shop observing the hair stylist. It was really entertaining seeing the girls before and after their appointment. Not only that, but sometimes some of the girls doing the hair would sit down and talk to me. I'd ask them more about their jobs, learn their tips, and fun stories. This is probably a big reason I want to get into cosmetology  "the professional skill or practicing of beautifying the face, hair, and skin."

So to get to my point, I want to learn more about the fashion of hair, including the culture, the styles, new things I can learn, and share with other people who want to learn something new. Whether they are into hair too, or just looking for some fun facts, I believe there's a lot of interesting facts that are out there about this subject. It might sound silly to be so interested in hair, but I see this as an opportunity. Maybe after this experience, I'll have new ideas when I start cosmetology. I could bring back an old hair styles or different styles from another country. These styles are changing all the time, from a casual layering and dying your hair a dark brown, to shaved sides with the top a bright blue.  I'm thrilled at the idea of learning crazy hair ideas and fun ideas to maybe try myself.
